HBO Max is officially kaput, as today Warner Bros. Discovery’s new streaming service begins under the name “Max”. Unfortunately, the transition hasn’t been smooth for the new platform, as subscribers are taking to social media to complain about login problems and question the decision to change the name.

Many people are reporting significant issues when trying to log into their Max accounts. Some users are encountering difficulties logging into the Roku app, while others are sharing screenshots of error messages they’ve come across during their initial use of the app.

A Max spokesperson spoke with IGN and stated, “You should always anticipate some problems when rolling out new tech like this. We can confirm that only minor issues have emerged, and we have quickly resolved them.”

To be honest, these types of problems are not uncommon when launching a streaming service. Back in 2019, during the launch of Disney+, many people reported technical difficulties and were frustrated because they couldn’t watch “The Mandalorian”.
