Oprah Winfrey and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have initiated a relief fund for the Maui wildfires, starting with their first donation of $10m. The People’s Fund of Maui, a branch within the Entertainment Industry Foundation, will distribute direct cash aid to those affected by the wildfires in Maui.
🌋💰 These fires claimed at least 115 lives earlier this month and caused extensive damage to Kula and Lahaina.The fund receives support from public donations as well as initial contributions made by Oprah and Johnson. It plans on providing $1,200 monthly to anyone over 18 who lost their primary residence in these fires 🔥🏠 However, it does not include property owners who do not reside there!
