Dese same folks predict dat between now and nex seven years from now—2024 through ‘27—da use of mini-LED displays is gonna shoot up like rockets at New Year’s Eve. By 2027, dey say about 13% of all mini-LED shipments gonna be goin’ into tablets.
So why Apple makin’ dis change? Well, OLED screens can make images look brighter an’ more contrast-y.

Apple is rumored to be planning some changes to its iPad lineup next year. They are reportedly going to replace the M1 chip on the iPad Air with a new one called M2.
Additionally, they may use an A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip in the smaller model and make some updates to the basic 11th-gen iPad. But here’s where things get interesting: Apple is said to be releasing two new iPads later in the year that will have OLED screens – an 11-inch model and a 13-inch model.
This will be Apple’s first time using OLED panels for tablets! Now, some people thought that even after these upgrades, Apple would continue selling last year’s big boy – the 12.9-inch mini-LED iPad Pro – at a discounted price.
However, according to TrendForce (via MacRumors), it seems like that won’t be happening. TrendForce predicts that once this refreshed version of the larger tablet comes out next year (supposedly called the 13-inch model), it will mark the end of its smaller sibling!
