🚀👨‍🚀 UAE’s Sultan Al-Neyadi, Da Firs’ Arab Astronaut fo’ Do Da Moonwalk In Space 🌙

Check dis out, gang! Sultan Al-Neyadi, one astronaut from da UAE, wen make history by doing da firs’ eva’ spacewalk by one Arab astronaut. 🎉👏🎊 He was floating around in space fo’ ova’ 7 hours on top da side of da International Space Station (ISS) and he wen finish two big kine tasks. 🛰️⏱️👨‍🚀

One of da tasks of da Extravehicular Activity (EVA), where Sultan Al-Neyadi was working with NASA Flight Engineer Stephen Bowen, was fo’ do some preps, like setting up power cables. 🌠🔌💡 And dey wen finish ’em all good kine.

Dese cable works wen happen befo’ dey install da Space Station’s fourth roll-out solar array, da one dey call International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Array (iROSA). 🌞🔋🌌 Dey going get ’em on top da upcoming SpaceX Dragon cargo mission. Dey wen also had to get one important Radio Frequency Group (RFG) unit.

Dis communications antenna, or RFG, going stay bolted on top da station fo’ now ’cause real hard fo’ take ’em off. 📡🔩🔧 Befo’ dey wen go do da spacewalk, Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen wen go through two-hour oxygen purge fo’ get rid of nitrogen from dea bodies. 👨‍🚀🌬️💨

Afta dat, Warren Hoburg and Frank Rubio wen help da astronauts fo’ get into dea spacesuits – dat was one major operation by itself. It took both Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen one more hour fo’ get into dea spacesuits and safety gear befo’ dey wen enter da airlock to slowly reduce da pressure to one safe level fo’ open da outside hatch. 🚀👨‍🚀🔐

Befo’ da spacewalk, dey wen do plenty checks fo’ make sure da astronauts stay safe. During dea high-altitude walk outside da ISS, Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen had to deal with two big challenges: radiation and extreme temperatures. ☢️🌡️🥵

Da surrounding environment in space can get up to 120 degrees Celsius in da sunlight and can drop as low as -150 degrees Celsius when da sun is out of sight. 🌞🌡️❄️ Dey spacesuit can handle all dis, but dey had to be real careful fo’ manage da suit during da mission. 👨‍🚀🔥❄️

Hamad Obaid Al-Mansoori, da Chairman of MBRSC, say dat da UAE Mission 2 is one real inspiring endeavor dat show da spirit of Emirati excellence and determination to achieve greatness in all we do. 🇦🇪🚀🌌

From da time it wen start as da longest Arab space mission to da historic appointment of da firs’ Arab increment lead on one ISS expedition, and now with da ground-breaking achievement of da firs’ Arab spacewalk by Sultan Al-Neyadi, dis mission wen set one new standard fo’ excellence in space exploration. 🌍🌌👨‍🚀

🚀👨‍🚀 UAE’s Sultan Al-Neyadi: First Arab Astronaut to Perform Spacewalk 🌙

Big news, folks! Sultan Al-Neyadi, an astronaut from the UAE, made history by becoming the first Arab astronaut to perform a spacewalk. 🎉👏🎊 He spent over 7 hours on the side of the International Space Station (ISS), successfully completing two major objectives. 🛰️⏱️👨‍🚀

One of the tasks during the Extravehicular Activity (EVA), carried out by Sultan Al-Neyadi and NASA Flight Engineer Stephen Bowen, was to prepare by routing power cables. 🌠🔌💡 They successfully completed this mission.

These cable works were done in preparation for the installation of the Space Station’s fourth roll-out solar array, known as the International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Array (iROSA). 🌞🔋🌌 It is scheduled to be delivered during the upcoming SpaceX Dragon cargo mission. They also retrieved an essential Radio Frequency Group (RFG) unit.

This communication antenna, or RFG, will remain bolted on the station for now due to the difficulty of removal. 📡🔩🔧 Before starting the spacewalk, Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen underwent a two-hour oxygen purge to eliminate nitrogen from their bodies. 👨‍🚀🌬️💨

After that, Warren Hoburg and Frank Rubio assisted the astronauts in donning their spacesuits – a major operation in itself. It took both Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen an extra hour to put on their spacesuits and safety gear before they entered the airlock to gradually reduce the pressure to a safe level for opening the external hatch. 🚀👨‍🚀🔐

Before the spacewalk, thorough checks were conducted to ensure the astronauts’ safety. During their high-altitude walk outside the ISS, Sultan Al-Neyadi and Bowen had to contend with two significant challenges: radiation and extreme temperatures. ☢️🌡️🥵

The surrounding environment in space can reach scorching temperatures of up to 120 degrees Celsius in the sunlight and can drop as low as -150 degrees Celsius when the sun is out of sight. 🌞🌡️❄️ While their spacesuits are designed to handle this, they had to carefully manage the suits during the mission. 👨‍🚀🔥❄️

Hamad Obaid Al-Mansoori, the Chairman of MBRSC, said that the UAE Mission 2 is a truly inspiring endeavour that embodies the spirit of Emirati excellence and determination to achieve greatness in all our pursuits. 🇦🇪🚀🌌

From its inception as the longest Arab space mission to the historic appointment of the first Arab increment lead on an ISS expedition, and now with the groundbreaking achievement of the first Arab spacewalk by Sultan Al-Neyadi, this mission has set a new standard for excellence in space exploration. 🌍🌌👨‍🚀
